Sea Gulls
ranked No. 23 by NSCAA
KANSAS CITY, Kan. –
The Salisbury University
women’s soccer team broke into the National Soccer Coaches Association of
American (NSCAA) Top 25 poll for the first time this season as the unbeaten Sea
Gulls are ranked No. 23.
Salisbury (8-0-1, 4-0 Capital Athletic Conference) has won its last five games
by a combined 19-3 margin which includes wins over Villa Julie, Christopher
Newport and York (Pa.). In addition to being the only CAC team ranked in the
NSCAA top 25 the maroon and gold are also ranked No. 4 in the Middle Atlantic
region.
York (Pa.) is the only other CAC team ranked in the Mid-Atlantic region as the
Spartans occupy the eighth position. The top three spots in the region are
Messiah, The College of New Jersey and Swarthmore who are ranked No. 2, No. 3
and No. 18 in the nation, respectively.
The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, October 6, as they host University
of Mary Washington at 12:30 p.m. at the SU Soccer Complex.
