USER ID AND PASSWORD
Effective: July 21, 2003 YOUR NEW ACCOUNT INFORMATION Information concerning your new account and password will be mailed to your permanent address at the same time as your bill. This will arrive in a separate mailing from your bill. Your new SU ID, which is also known as the Emplid, will be on the information sheet that you will receive. This SU ID is replacing the use of your SSN on campus, so PLEASE MEMORIZE THIS NUMBER. You will notice that many places on campus will require the use of this new SU ID. Your new username for ALL ACCOUNTS (Novell, GroupWise, WebCT and GullNet) will be your first initial + last initial + the last 5 digits of your SU ID (for example: Sam E. Seagull with the SU ID of 1234567 will have the username ss34567). Your e-mail address will be YOURSUID@students.salisbury.edu Although the username will be the same for all accounts, the accounts are not all synchronized with each other. Your GullNet account is completely separate from all other accounts, therefore it has its own unique password. Your Novell, GroupWise, and WebCT accounts, on the other hand, will be synchronized together and will share a unique password. The first time that you log into your Novell/GroupWise/WebCT account you will need to either log in using an IT Computer Lab on the SU Campus, or you can log into http://groupwise.salisbury.edu On this first login, you will be prompted to change your password. You will have to change your password to something other than your initial password. If you do not change your password, you will be consequently locked out of your account and will need to contact the IT Help Desk in Fulton Hall 149 to regain access. For your security, you should also change your GullNet password the first time you log into that account. To do so, once you're logged in, click on SA Self Service > Personal Portfolio > Tasks > Password and Personalization > Change Password. Once you change your password, we also recommend you click the Change or setup forgotten password help link just below the Change Password link. Make sure you click the Save button at the bottom of that page when you're finished. If you have any questions or problems, contact the IT Help Desk at 410-677-5454 or email us at helpdesk@salisbury.edu. Changing Your GullNet Password
